Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of your 28‑Day Dry Fire Program. Yesterday we built the foundation with a solid, consistent grip. Today we take that foundation and reinforce it with the real powerhouse of your shooting: your support hand.

Before we begin, run through your safety rules with intention:

Safety First — Every Single Time

  • Treat every firearm as if it’s loaded.

  • Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.

  • Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on target and you’ve made the decision to fire.

  • Be sure of your target and what’s beyond it.

Clear your firearm. Clear your space. Remove all live ammunition from the room. Discipline is what makes dry fire effective.

Today’s Focus — Support Hand Pressure & Lock‑In

Your support hand is not just “along for the ride.” It is the engine of your grip. It stabilizes the gun, manages recoil, and allows your strong hand to stay relaxed enough to run the trigger smoothly.

Here’s what we’re building today:

Why the Support Hand Matters

  • It provides the majority of your grip pressure—think 60–70% of the total hold.

  • It controls lateral movement and keeps the gun tracking straight.

  • It frees your strong hand from over‑gripping, which reduces trigger‑induced sight movement.

  • It creates a unified, locked‑in structure that keeps the gun stable through every rep.

How to Lock It In

  • Fill the open space on the grip with the meat of your support‑hand palm—no gaps.

  • Wrap your fingers forward and apply firm, consistent side‑to‑side pressure.

  • Drive your support‑hand wrist forward to create tension and stability.

  • Thumbs forward, pointed toward the target, creating a natural line of direction.

Today is about feeling that connection—how your support hand clamps, stabilizes, and works in harmony with your strong hand. Slow, deliberate reps. No speed. Just clean mechanics and consistent pressure.

You’re building the structure that will make recoil control, transitions, and accuracy dramatically easier. Show up with focus and give yourself ten strong minutes.
